Web19 feb. 2013 · Help removing gooseneck ball I just bought a 97 F-350 with a gooseneck ball installed. I want to remove the ball, but I'm stuck as to how to proceed. The nut is welded to the crossbar below the bed. On the top side, the hexagon part of the ball shaft is below the bed. How do I get the ball out? Is there a socket that can go over the ball? Web14 mei 2014 · NOTHING! The ball didn't even budge. One of my buddies beat on the housing around the ball while another beat the ball side to side from the top. Finally it popped out. Here is a pic. Anyways if you all have a stuck gooseneck ball this is how I got mine out. I used a 90 degree wheel with pads on it to clean up the ball.
