WebJul 21, 2011 · The 29:59 minute recording limitation is an EU restriction. For some reason the GH2 I bought in the US has that video recording restriction. I've made a few longer recordings with my GH2 and at 29:59 it simply makes a new AVCHD video file. I didn't see if there was a real gap or if anything was missing. Perhaps someone else knows.
