The above posts have pointed out edge sharpness and lateral stiffness. I would like to add longitudinal stiffness and dampening too. Prior to last year, my previous skis had softer flex and would chatter more on the ice. WebJun 28, 2024 · On a personal note, Fischer Motive 86 Ti have been my ski of choice on family days when I want a ski that can carve well at slow speeds but still remain energetic and composed enough at high speeds (and still slay powder up to 12"+ when you get an unexpected dump).
