WebFeb 3, 2016 · Over on the M5board website we see this problem occasionally. It's usually a bad slave cylinder that won't allow the adaption. We all recommend that during a clutch change, everything in the bell housing gets replaced including the slave cylinder. Otherwise you'll have to pull the transmission again for the slave cylinder.

Both of which isn't great for the clutch. I used to use LC about once or twice a month in my E60 M5 and my clutch started to slip at around 40,000mi. That was with an SMG paired with a V10.
